Eleanor Carr Bassoon

Bio
Having started learning the bassoon aged 10, Eleanor has now been playing for over a decade. She has been a part of various school orchestras and wind groups in primary and secondary school and was also principal bassoonist in Dorset Youth Symphony Orchestra. Now in her third year studying BA Music at Bath Spa University, she is a member of the University orchestra, wind band and Georgian ensemble. Eleanor is also a keen Gamelan player and is part of the Bath Spa University Gamelan group. She has also recently developed an interest in Renaissance music and has been exploring this new genre through playing the curtal, shawm and recorders and is a member of the 'Loud Winds' renaissance wind ensemble, the viols consort and recorder group. She has been aided in her studies at University thanks to the generous funding from the Taunton Maids Bursary.
